ATMOS is the world’s most sensitive radon instrument with an energy-dissolving pulse chamber and can be used both in the field and in the laboratory.
The World’s Most Sensitive Radon Instrument
ATMOS is the world’s most sensitive radon instrument with an energy-dissolving pulse chamber and can be used both in the field and in the laboratory. This is due to its low weight, high sensitivity and fast response time through an efficient pump and analysis.
Why Choose ATMOS?
ATMOS pumps filtered air at 1 liter/minute into a pulsed ion chamber with high sensitivity and rapid response allowing you to perform significantly more measurements in one day compared to other instruments on the market. The measured value is displayed immediately when a new measurement is made and the user does not have to wait for the end of the measuring cycle. It meets SSM’s requirements for accuracy for a short-term measurement of 24 hours per room.
You will get more accurate measurement data despite the short measurement time and unlike other instruments, only an annual calibration is needed despite different areas of use. ATMOS also logs ambient temperature, relative humidity and atmospheric pressure with integrated sensors. The instrument measures alpha decay from radon and its daughters and is completely insensitive to gamma radiation. ATMOS has a built-in dehumidifier to ensure that the moisture content of the air does not interfere with the measurement. The dehumidifier works in saturated moisture at temperatures up to 40ºC.
The display is a 3.5 ″ touch screen that shows the radon content in Bq / m³, the uncertainty since the start time of the measurement, integration time, measurement time, time and date. The ATMOS reading and reporting software works with Windows and is included with the instrument. The software is used to read out stored measurement data to evaluate the time course and energy spectrum. The alpha energies of the different isotopes are detected and the radon concentration is shown in a touch display on the instrument. The user chooses the desired integration time, the longer the time, the more accurate the measurement.
