High Sensitivity Outdoor Measurement
Radonova has a wealth of experience from environmental monitoring of very low concentrations of radon gas, for example in connection with mining and prospecting for uranium. Our Rapidos® High-Sensitivity Radon Test kit allows measurement of radon levels from as low as 5 Bq/m³ over a two month measurement period. Rapidos® is also suitable for surveys of houses and buildings in areas where a very low radon concentration is indicated.
Radon Dosimetry for Custom Applications
Radon gas exposure is causing lung cancer to workers around the world. The gas is especially present in underground work places such as mines but also in other NORM activities such as hydroelectric and water treatment plants. Radon levels in these environments vary a lot with location and type of work. It is therefore recommended to use radon dosimetry to monitor all workers. The radon dosimeters are normally used for the measurement of recordable effective dose from exposure to radon.
Ecotrak - Radon in Soil Measurement
To measure the radon concentration in soil is simple. The monitoring is carried out by our detectors as an accredited service over 1 to 7 days and can be carried out at any time of year, provided the soil is frost-free. The analysis is performed by our laboratory, and the results are sent by e-mail within a week of you returning the detectors. This type of monitoring is often used to determine radon levels before building a new property or extending or modernizing an existing property.
Thoron Measurement - Radon & Thoron Test Kit
The Thoron gas measurement kit consists of a pair of detectors; one Radtrak2®radon detector (not sensitive to thoron) and one Radtrak2T®thoron detector. The thoron gas exposure is obtained by subtracting the radon contribution from the thoron/radon detector. The normal exposure time is 3 months but exposure times between 1 and 12 months can be used. After exposure, the detectors should be returned back to Radonova as soon as possible.
