Radonova expands its local presence in Canada
Radonova, the global leader in radon measurement, is taking the next step in its expansion in Canada by establishing a local presence in Mississauga, just outside Toronto. The move strengthens the company’s presence in one of the world’s most developed radon markets and creates better conditions for local logistics, customer service, and future growth.
The new operation will provide Canadian customers with a local address for the distribution and return of radon detectors ahead of the upcoming measurement season. Over time, the aim is to gradually expand Radonova’s local presence and offer additional services directly from Canada.
Canada is one of Radonova’s most important international markets. The country has a well-developed regulatory framework, a high level of awareness of the risks associated with radon, and internationally recognized research in the field. At the same time, interest in radon measurement is growing across homes, schools and workplaces.
Dr. Aaron Goodarzi, Scientific Director of the Evict Radon National Study and a professor at the University of Calgary, says, “Awareness of radon in Canadian homes has increased significantly in recent years. Since the 2024 national survey was released, we have seen interest in conducting radon measurements nearly double, which is a very positive development that we hope to build on.”

Radonova has built a strong position in Canada over several years, where long-term radon measurement is the predominant method, as it is in most European countries. With a market share of approximately 50 percent of the Canadian long-term radon measurement market, the new operation is a natural next step in further strengthening Radonova’s position in the Canadian market and meeting growing demand.
Dr. Aaron Goodarzi and the other Canadian scientists involved in the Evict Radon National Study have collaborated with Radonova for several years.
