For over 30 years, Rutgers has provided classroom based radon courses to help individuals become certified radon professionals. While you could go to the physical campus for measurement and mitigation courses, attendance was limited to classroom settings.
Rutgers is now offering a 16 hour online measurement course that is approved by both the National Radon Safety Board and the National Radon Proficiency Program. These national certifications validate the competence of measurement specialists, as well as radon laboratories, testing devices, and mitigation contractors. The NRSB and NRPP directories are extremely helpful in finding certified radon professionals, especially in states lacking a state run radon certification program.
