Rapidos & Radtrak² Bundles
This combination kit is a short-term Rapidos test that can be deployed for a minimum of 10 days and a Radtrak² long-term test that will monitor between 90 days and 1 full year. Utilizing this kit will allow you to get a quick radon result to determine if additional testing is needed or, if levels are elevated, will indicate the need for a mitigation system. Once the results from the Rapidos test are received you can use the Radtrak² to perform a follow up confirmation test or to use as a mitigation follow up test.
The Rapidos & Radtrak² Bundle Kit Includes:
- 1 Radtrak² Detector and 1 Rapidos Detector
- 2 Residential Commissions – 1 for each detector
- Deployment instructions and access to RadOnline
- Free FedEx 2 Day Shipping
- Postage paid mailers for return to laboratory
- Analysis and emailed reports
*If you require testing for multiple buildings, please update kit quantity, not detector quantity.
Rapidos & Radtrak² Bundle Kit
The best radon test kit is the one that is most accurate, sensitive, and can accommodate a longer exposure period. However, in some instances, especially if you have never tested for radon before, waiting 3+ months to find out if your home has elevated levels of this carcinogenic gas is unsettling to most homeowners. This bundle kit offers the opportunity to quickly get a radon result and make a decision on the next steps.
What device do I test with first?
You will want to deploy the Rapidos detector first. This test can be deployed for as little as 10 days and the average deployment time is 30 days. This test will be your first indicator of what your homes radon levels are.
What do I do if the first test has a low or borderline result?
This is where the Radtrak² comes in. You will deploy this test to confirm the low or borderline result. With borderline results the additional test will give a more accurate reading because of the additional exposure collected in the 91+ days. If your short-term test is low, performing the long-term test will get you on schedule and in the habit of continuing to test to monitor low results and verify they stay below the EPA action level of 4.0 pCi/l.
My Rapidos came back with a high level above 4.0 pCi/l?
Now you can move forward with mitigation efforts. Save your Radtrak² device and use it to monitor after a mitigation system is installed to verify that the installed system is getting your home below the 4.0 action level.
