Commercial Radon Project Testing Made Easy

Radon is a radioactive gas which forms when the naturally occurring element Uranium238 found in rocks, soils and man-made building materials, spontaneously decays. Radon is a natural radioactive gas, but you can’t see, smell or taste it, which makes it a challenge to detect and measure. In outside air the levels are low but it can accumulate inside buildings. Certain areas of the country are more prone than others.

The EPA and Health Canada have established guidelines for exposure to radon. In the US it is 4.0 pCi/l and in Canada the level is 200 Bq/m3. The risk varies depending on where you live and the local geology, so it is recommended that ALL HOMES be tested for radon. A Group 1 carcinogen, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Lung cancer is by far the deadliest of all cancers, killing more people than the next 4 deadliest cancers combined (breast, colorectal, pancreatic, and prostate).

Upon receiving the detectors from you we analyse them using our highly accurate and secure measurement methods that are accredited according to ISO 17025. From the results we can make an accurate and reliable assessment of the yearly average radon level for the property and compare it to the recommended guideline. Should levels exceed the guidelines then remedial steps can be taken to reduce the radon level in the property.
